Our Junior Board of Directors at the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc., is composed of vibrant young individuals, this board actively supports the nonprofit's leadership.
Serving as a gateway to the inner workings, members experience everything from board governance to fundraising. Our Junior Board engages in critical hands-on leadership, contributing to tasks like recruiting donors, providing fresh perspectives, managing projects, and organizing events.
The junior board fosters a dynamic environment, connecting passionate individuals and making a tangible impact. Our Junior Board explore various community-driven initiatives, where their collective efforts shape the future of the Central Florida Region.
Zanisha Premilien, Senior Ranking Director, Alumni Engagement & Advancement
Zanisha is a Biology Major on the Pre-Nursing Track at the University of North Florida. She was the President of FLU in the 2019-2020 school year. In her current role, Zanisha supports fellow Junior Board Members (JBMs) and collaborates closely with key members of the Foundation's leadership team to drive fundraising and grant-writing initiatives for the Office of Giving & Advancement.
Melissa Monde, Co-Director, Student Leadership & Talent Development
Melissa is a Business Administration Major at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. She served as the Vice President and Civic Engagement Coordinator for FLU in the 2020-2021 school year. Melissa has held various leadership roles at FAMU and is a Fellow for ATLFinance with prestigious internships. She is also a member of the Omega Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Co-Ed Business Fraternity, Inc.
Nerstafara Emilzo, Co-Director, Student Leadership & Talent Development
Nerstafara is a Health Science major on a Pre-Nursing Track at the University of Central Florida. She served as the President of FLU in the 2020-2021 school year. She is a member of the SISTUHS, INC. Chapter seated at the University of Central Florida.
Christie St Vil, Co-Director, Student Leadership & Talent Development
Christie is pursuing double majors in Communications & Media Ethics and is minoring in Journalism & Center of Community Engagement at the University of Central Florida. She was the Public Relations Director for FLU in the 2020-2021 school year. She is a Charter Member of the Auspicious Alpha Chi Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. seated at Stetson University.
Shannon Biassou, Co-Director, Scholarship Management & Finance
Shannon is a Clinical Professions Major on the pre-med track at Florida State University. She was the Secretary of FLU in the 2021-2022 school year. Shannon is involved in several organizations, including SISTUHS, Incorporated, Black Women in Medicine, NAACP, MAPS, and the Black Student Union at FSU.
Gardyson Etienne, Co-Director, Scholarship Management & Finance
Gardyson is a Pre-Physical Therapy Major at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. He served as the Chair of Community Service for FLU in the 2021-2022 school year. Gardyson is an active member of Progressive Black Men, Inc., and the FAMU Marching 100. He also serves as an Orientation Leader for FAMU's Office of New Student Orientation.
Derekaisha Bush
Derekaisha was the President of Future Leaders United during the 2018-2019 school year and is a recent graduate of the University of South Florida.
