Future Leaders United was established at Maynard Evans High School to bridge educational and mentoring gaps through a holistic approach centered on leadership, opportunity, exposure, and service.
Today, FLU connects students with mentors, educators, professionals, elected officials, college representatives, community leaders, and real-world experiences that help young people see what is possible for their futures.
The program combines academic preparation with leadership development, career exploration, service learning, financial education, health and wellness, and practical preparation for life after high school.

Leadership Development

Service learning is central to the FLU experience. Students give their time through food security initiatives, community cleanups, holiday projects, civic activities, events, and other service efforts.

FLU alumni have continued into higher education, military service, workforce, vocational, and trade pathways.
Civic Engagement
Helping students understand that their voices matter.
Throughout the academic year, FLU students engage with elected officials, community leaders, advocates, and other representatives while learning about issues that affect their communities.
