UFCF Board Member Application

The United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc. (UFCF) welcomes mission-driven leaders who are interested in serving on our Board of Directors.

UFCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to transforming lives through mentorship, scholarships, food security, workforce development, and holistic community empowerment. Our Board provides governance oversight, strategic direction, fiduciary accountability, and resource development to advance our impact across Central Florida and beyond.

Board Member Expectations

Board members serve a one-year term beginning on their date of appointment, with eligibility for annual renewal upon board approval.

Board members work collaboratively with fellow directors and executive leadership to advance UFCF’s mission and strategic goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively supporting and promoting UFCF’s mission

  • Attending board orientation and at least 75% of board meetings

  • Serving on at least one committee

  • Making an annual personal financial contribution

  • Supporting fundraising and partnership efforts

  • Upholding fiduciary responsibilities and confidentiality

  • Fulfilling the core duties of the assigned position

Application & Appointment Process

Board member applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

The Governance/Nominating Committee reviews submissions as received and may schedule discussions with qualified candidates to assess alignment with UFCF’s mission, strategic priorities, and current board needs.

If selected, board members are formally appointed in accordance with UFCF’s bylaws.

Board service consists of a one-year term beginning on the date of appointment, with eligibility for renewal annually.

Submission of this application does not guarantee appointment to the Board of Directors.
